As a Loudoun County Wedding Photographer, 2023 was an incredible year! From Spring through fall I was busy capturing so many wonderful love stories. There was big wedding love as well as micro wedding love. And even a whimsically gorgeous vow renewal.
What I really love about weddings is that each is so unique. I love spending time capturing moments and beautiful days for each couple. This year I spent some wonderful days at some of the best venues around. Spring weddings at Shadow Creek and The Birkby house As well as a Fall wedding at Murray Hill were a few of the highlight venues for the year. I also had the opportunity to photograph at some private properties and family homes that were just incredible and perfect as a Loudoun County wedding photographer! Each of my couples made the wedding days one to remember. Whether they had the perfect sunny day or had to deal with some rain, they were all incredibly sweet and romantic days. One of the cool highlights from K+T’s Spring wedding was that there were the very first couple to use Birkby house’s brand new atrium and what a gorgeous space that was. And at C+S’s shadow creek wedding they not only had the most perfect rainbow, but also a sunset that took all our breath away.
The micro weddings from the year were so sweet and intimate. I loved capturing these weddings with tiny guests lists and LARGE amounts of love. One of my micro weddings this spring was at the cabin room at Tuskies and just walking in the door you could feel the love. My favorite micro wedding ceremony site this year was at K+D’s wedding where Derek, the groom build a dock over the creek for a romantic and intimate ceremony for their 12 guests, but what made it super romantic was the rain that came through right after the ceremony, you can see that further below.
Let’s not forget the rehearsal dinners and vow renewals. The love and excited leading up to a wedding day is so fun and electric. That was sure evident at O+B’s rehearsal dinner, and their peony game was STRONG! I loved every single minute of J+K’s vow renewal. They celebrated 11 years of marriage and reaffirmed their love surrounded by their three beautiful daughters and closest friends, as well as a handful of goats and a field of chickens at Ballenger Farm.
It was such an awesome year and so looking forward to what 2024 has in-store!
