5 Awesome Dates Ideas for Love Birds in Northern Virginia & the Shenandoah Valley

Happy February, love birds! Whether you are planning your upcoming wedding and need a break to enjoy each other and de-stress or you just need a day out on the town with your love, this post is perfect for you. 5 Awesome Date ideas close to Northern Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley. There is something on this list for everyone…

1.) Vineyard trip.

There are so many great wineries to explore in the area. Pick a vineyard you haven’t been to before and take in the gorgeous views, fresh air and delicious wine. It’s the perfect atmosphere to relax & re-connect. Some vineyards have live music, most are pet friendly, and all are filled with a delightful ambiance.

2.) Coffee Date.

This is probably one of my favorite pass times. And we are so fortunate to live in an area that has so many great coffee shops. From Shoe’s Cup and Cork in Downtown Leesburg, to The Espresso Bar in Old Town Winchester, and PLENTY of other shops in between coffee is always a great way to spend a date. Grab a cup and have a conversation about your next vacation, or play a board game. And like the vineyards, many of these quaint places have live music.

3.) Catch a Flick

Movies are always. good choice. Cozy seats, snacks to share, and plenty of snuggle screen time. Sure you can watch Netflix and chill, but catching a movie on the silver screen is a fun and laid back activity for you and your sweetheart. When you’ve had a stress-filled week and want to spend time together, sharing a box of candy and bowl of popcorn, head to the theater… If you head to the Alamo Drafthouse, you can even make it a dinner & a movie date in one.

4.)Take a Hike.

February
is still a chilly month around here, but the days can still be gorgeous. Whether it’s cold and snowy or sunny & 60
degrees, a perfect date would be a nice hike. We are lucky to live with the Blue Ridge Mountains around us. So get out there and take in the natural beauty. It’s good for you body & for your soul. Unplug and unwind with your love. Head up to Bear’s Den for take in the gorgeous views, or explore the third battle for Winchester. Head to Harpers Ferry for mountain hiking and history.

5.) Live Music

Fun, energizing, and exciting. Live music is always a fun way to spend a date night. Whether it’s an acoustic show or a rock out sesh, you are sure to have a good time. Music speaks to the soul, grab your babe and get out on the dance floor or sing along. For a few places to watch some great shows visit Talley Ho Theater or The Bight Box. Head a little further into Northern VA and check out Wolf Trap!

I cant wait to hear about all your fun date nights!! Until next time <3 Stephanie

Leesburg VA wedding Photographer: Vintage Glam at Shoe’s Cup & Cork

New Years Eve has always been one of my favorite holidays. It’s reminiscing about the year we just had and looking into what the next year holds for us. It’s the memories & the adventure that I love so much about this holiday. And interestingly enough, weddings are so very similar to NYE. The day tells a story of the couples past present & future. It’s filled with excitement about what’s in store. And that right there is why I LOVE photographing weddings, the emotions of the day are so pure. With NYE only days away, we say Goodbye 2017, & HELLO 2018! I wanted to send off 2017 with a bang, and these gorgeous photos from downtown Leesburg VA at Shoe’s Cup & Cork will definitely do that. To me they are the most perfect example for vintage glam, which screams NYE. From the speakeasy themed venue to the crystal detailed lace. Just take a look for yourself at all the grace, elegance and glow of this intimate affair. It’s almost like you are being taken back in time for a high class 1920’s affair…..

Venue: Shoe’s Cup & Cork

Dress: Ebrada Atelier

Hair & Makeup: Gabby & Martha’s hair and Makeup, Dare to be Unforgettable

Florals:  JR FLowers

Styling: Always Creating Studio

HAPPY NEW YEAR… see you all in 2018!

Loudoun County Wedding Photographer: Gorgeous October Backyard wedding

Happy October everyone. I wanted to share one of my lovely Fall weddings from 2016, because this one will really get you excited about the fall. Ashley & JP tied the knot on a gorgeous day in October, right in their own yard. It was such a fun wedding. Because the venue was their home, they were so relaxed leading up to the ceremony. The weather was perfect and everyone had arrived ready for a good time. The ceremony took place in a clearing in the trees, the light shining through was a photographers dream, and the straw bale seating added to the fall ambiance of the day. A & J said their “i do’s” as everyone watched with joy-filled eyes. After we took some amazing photos (see for your self below) we headed over the the reception. The event was held under a lovely white tent decorated with sophisticated rustic fall decor. It was just so stunning. The bride & groom danced to their song with a surprise live performance. Then everyone danced the night away!! Happy ALMOST one year anniversary you two!! <3 Stephanie

Blandy Farm Spring Engagement Photography Session, Boyce VA

A Spring time engagement session in Virginia is always a treat….

Christine & Jahlil were a very lucky couple to get to partake in a lovely spring session at Blandy Farm. The fresh greens in the trees and the blues in the sky paired so nicely with the choice of attire. I love the laid back preppy look they portrayed. Christine’s shoes really tied her outfit together, and they are so cute!! Couples always ask me what to wear, these two really pulled off a great fun, relaxed look. I also love the way these two look at each other. Whether it’s a look of passion, a sweet glance or even a full on laugh attach. Their love is infectious. Keep sharing the love C& J, you guys share a heart filled love that everyone can see….. Take a look at this little snap shot of their love, what do you think?? gorgeous right!!
