Blandy Farm Spring Engagement Photography Session, Boyce VA

A Spring time engagement session in Virginia is always a treat….

Christine & Jahlil were a very lucky couple to get to partake in a lovely spring session at Blandy Farm. The fresh greens in the trees and the blues in the sky paired so nicely with the choice of attire. I love the laid back preppy look they portrayed. Christine’s shoes really tied her outfit together, and they are so cute!! Couples always ask me what to wear, these two really pulled off a great fun, relaxed look. I also love the way these two look at each other. Whether it’s a look of passion, a sweet glance or even a full on laugh attach. Their love is infectious. Keep sharing the love C& J, you guys share a heart filled love that everyone can see….. Take a look at this little snap shot of their love, what do you think?? gorgeous right!!

Personal Post: Siding & Trim

“A house is much more than a mere shelter, it should lift us emotionally & spiritually.”

Decision making is probably the most intense part of building a house. There are so many different options for everything you need to pick out, but the siding decision for us what so simple. James Hardie has a lot of choices and beautiful colors. We knew from the first look at the color choices what we wanted to do. Our house has a very modern feel to it, so when choosing colors, we went with grey. They are fresh, crisp and modern. We also loved the idea of the two toned house. Iron grey & aged pewter were the way to go. We liked the way they looked together, with the roof sample, and also how they looked in the surroundings.

Once they began to put it up, I couldn’t control my excitement. The siding is beautiful. I LOVE the Hardieplank siding! They began with the aged pewter which is the bottom color and they way it pops with the black windows and white trim was so dreamy. Once they put up the Iron grey and we saw that contrast, we were so very pleased! After the siding is up, I find out that one of our builders was a little wary on our choices, he wasn’t sure what the two tone combo was going to look like, but once it went up and he saw it he also saw my vision. The best part about this siding is that it is durable, helps to insulate the house, and is maintenance free!

Chris and I are so pleased this far with the house and with our selections. We love the way it looks as you drive up up to it and they way it fits into the gorgeous surroundings. We cannot wait to see the choices we have made for the inside and how they will make our new home a complete and beautiful place for us! Also, just so everyone knows, we have really had a blast building. Everyone warned us that is is so stressful and that agreeing on decisions and selections would be hard. Lucky for us, we are on the same page with all our choices. Other than wanting to live in this gorgeous place right NOW, because look at it, it’s amazing,  we are enjoying the process.
