I was beyond excited when I learned that one of my sweet couples was expecting their first child. Ali & Chase have been clients since the start (engagement photos!), and they became wonderful friends very shortly after that. Its truly a wonderful thing when clients become friends. Anyhow, back to this little bundle…. If you guys remember back to March when I posted the Pregnancy Announcement for Ali & Chase, well let me introduce their little bundle of Joy, Copper!!!
When we met for the pregnancy announcement photo session I told Ali right then and there that I had a feeling they were going to have a little boy, and my guess was right on! These guys couldn’t be more thrilled and taken with this baby. I always love photographing a newborn session at the families homes. When I arrived at their house to capture these sweet moments, they were filled with so much love and smiles. I knew we were in for a great morning. Although they were running on barely any sleep and have a 8 day old baby, they had the mostly lovely new mommy & daddy glow. I cannot wait to watch Cooper grow. They are in for such a fun adventure….also, let’s talk real quick about the fur babies in this house… They definitely added a bit or crazy and so many adorable photos. They too love that little Cooper already..
“A house is made of walls and beams; a home is built with love and dreams”
This is a real quick update (because I have gotten a little behind on the posts and have to post again this week, cause so much had changed) But for today we are talking, walls, floors, & a roof. The house is actually beginning to resemble our home. It’s so exciting to pull onto the road and look down the hill to see what new has been done. Each time it looks more and more like a house. The house that we designed! First the basement, then the first level, the second level & finally the roof, then bam, it’s a house! And how fun to be able to walk through the framed walls and imagine what the house will look like when it is complete. Having the walls up makes it so real! Chris & I tend to just hang out around a little longer each time we are at the land and partially built house. I’d like to give a special shout out the Carpenter Beach Construction for such a lovely construction site, and solid quality building practices.
Big thing are happening in 8 days, That is when Courtney & Logan are going to tie the knot surrounded by all their family & friends. But before that lovely event we decided we should meet up and capture some super romantic, sweet engagement photos at Tranquility Farm in Purcellville, Virginia. Tranquility farm is one of the most gorgeous and art inspiring places in Western Loudoun county. They have a beautiful stone farm house that is just asking for me to move in! There is a spring house with gorgeous bright green moss, and amazing walls. The barn is a lovely charcoal grey, and the silo is perfect for some really fun photos, of a rocking’ cocktail party if Tranquility is your wedding venue.
Anyhow, Courtney & Logan really rocked this session. These two are adorable, just look at the photos. Courtney dressed in a beautiful long blush dress that flowed in the wind. She carried a beautiful bouquet of bright & playful spring flowers. And Logan’s blue eyes popped with his choice of blue shirt. They really made my job easy!
Take a look at our romantic engagement adventure throughout Tranquility Farm. And stay Tuned because these say I do April 8th!
